FRIENDS OF WILLIAMSBURG REGIONAL LIBRARY ANNUAL BOOK SALE RETURNS
Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday, April 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- The Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library is an all-volunteer group dedicated to promoting interest in our library and providing funds to enrich collections and programming.
- They will hold their annual book sale April 5-7 at the Williamsburg Community Building.
It’s springtime in Williamsburg, which means it is once again time for the Friends of Williamsburg Regional Library’s annual book sale.
The Friends will be unpacking and offering up hundreds of adult and children’s books, DVDs, and CDs at the Williamsburg Community Building (located across the street from the Williamsburg Library) for the three day event. The sale kicks off on Friday, April 5 from 3-7 p.m.
As in past years, admission to the first day of the sale is limited to Friends members, and sign-ups will be taken at the door. These early attendees will get first pick of the hundreds of items available for purchase at bargain prices, mostly between $1-$4.
The sale opens up to the general public on Saturday, April 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and concludes on Sunday, April 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. For the final day of the sale, all remaining items will be marked down to half price. “A lot of hard work goes into selecting and storing the pristine books and media for the annual book sale,” said book sale coordinator Jean Johnston. “I know that the volunteers who work the sale will be there to help our friends and neighbors. But most importantly, the annual book sale is a visible reminder of the importance of the library in our community.” Funds raised at the annual book sale, as well as from the daily Book Nook sales in both library locations and generous donations from individuals and organizations in our community, provide Williamsburg Regional Library with a margin of excellence that helps to make WRL an outstanding resource for the community.
