9th Annual Turkey Pardoning

Virginia Living Museum ushers in the holidays with the annual turkey pardoning on Nov. 21. The Virginia Living Museum will celebrate the long and healthy life of its wild turkeys during the annual ceremony at 11 a.m. The pardoning will be conducted by a Newport News city official. Enjoy indoor exhibits about wild turkeys and indoor activities that begin at 10 a.m. Attend the ceremony beginning indoors and then out on the outdoor trail beside the Turkey/Deer Habitat. (dress for the weather)
Cost: VLM members free, non-members Museum admission Adults $20, children (ages 3-12) $15.
The museum is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The museum is closed Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22.
**For the month of November as a gesture of thanks and giving, the Museum will be doing our annual “Fill the Canoe” with non-perishable food items to benefit the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. All individuals who bring a food item will receive a coupon for a bottomless fountain drink or coffee at the Wild Side Café. **
