Sunday, November 8th 2:00 PM, City Space, Downtown Mall, 100 5th Street NE, Charlottesville, VA
Event info online: http://birthmatters.us/celebration/
At this incredible event, birth advocates come together to thank and recognize individuals who are working to improve birth culture in Virginia, whose work impacts birth outcomes, and inspires us to address disparities in our communities.
Our keynote speaker will be internationally renowned women’s health advocate, midwife, and educator, Jennie Joseph, LM, CPM, CEO/Director for Commonsense Childbirth. Ms. Joseph is an enlightening and engaging speaker, and will share her work to reduce disparities among birthing women in Central Florida, which has resulted in a prenatal care center demonstrating markedly improved birth outcomes. There will be much to learn and celebrate in this special afternoon event.
