Gallery at York Hall Opens for 2019 Season on April 2nd
The Gallery at York Hall will open for its 18th season on Tuesday, April 2. The Gallery is a partnership between Celebrate Yorktown Committee and York County, and is run solely by volunteers. Located in York Hall, at the corner of Ballard and Main Street, the Gallery features a variety of themed exhibits that change every six to eight weeks. The exhibits feature the works of local artists, increasing the awareness of high quality art in the community and showcasing historic Yorktown as an arts destination.
The Gallery’s 30-plus volunteers also serve the community by maintaining a visitor information area, offering brochures, maps, discounts, and friendly service and hospitality to over 18,000 visitors annually.
Exhibits at the gallery include quilts, mixed media, and photography. The Gallery 2019 exhibits are as follows:
APRIL – MAY
April 14 – Folk Music Performance from 1 to 3 p.m
May 5 – Art at the River
Pine Needle Baskets
September 29 – Art Stroll
Yorktown Art Exhibit
October 19 – Yorktown Day
NOVEMBER – DECEMBER
Christmas in Yorktown and Senior Center Exhibits
November 16 & 17 – Yorktown Open House Weekend
December 7 – Christmas Market on Main Street
December 8 – Cookies with Santa
The Gallery at York Hall is located at 301 Main Street in historic Yorktown Virginia and is a cooperative effort between the Celebrate Yorktown Committee and York County.
April – December
Tuesday – Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM, Sunday 1 to 4 PM
(January – March)
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 10 AM to 1 PM
Admission is free.
