Ghost Trails Hayrides
October 25, 26 and November 1, 2019
6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Head to York River State Park for this spooky hayride through the woods to discover some of the park’s haunted past through storytelling. Don’t worry, you can pretend that you aren’t scared, but who are you really fooling? Reservations are required. Please speak with a member of our office staff to make the reservation.
Staff and volunteers are swept away into the dark holds of the past to re-tell bizarre stories from the region. Through the woods we find the birthplace of a young lady who was drowned for being a witch, phantom pirates in a death or death sword fight, even a ghost light of a railroad man looking for his head. Would you dare take such a journey with us at night?
Come learn the darker side of history and culture along the York River. These classic tales of the unexplained will enchant you and your family for years to come. Modern horror movie characters come and go, but these traditional ghost stories are legendary, and we invite you to experience them.
