Summer Swim Team Head Coach

Accepting applications for a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Coach to join our Williamsburg, Virginia (23188) summer swim team.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming and a commitment to teaching and developing swimmers of all ages and skill levels.  As a Head Swimming Coach, you will be responsible for creating a positive and safe environment while promoting teamwork, respect, sportsmanship, physical fitness and personal growth.

Requirements:

–  Must obtain Red Cross lifeguard certification including CPR, AED and first aid training
–  Ability to use computer software for communication and meet entry purposes
–  Availability to attend practices, meets, and team functions

Preferred Competencies:

–   Prior coaching and/or teaching experience
–  Advanced knowledge of swimming strokes, skills, and competition
–  Prepare practice drills and motivational challenges for the team with
–  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with children (4-18 yrs) and parents

Expected hours:

~ 18 hours per week.  Average for practices, meets, and preparation time.

Season begins the last week of May and ends August, 3rd (10 weeks).

Salary: Based on experience, starting at $400/week
