Kayak Queen’s Creek from New Quarter Park
The BYOK (Bring Your Own Kayak or canoe) Program returns to New Quarter Park on the third Saturdays of the month through this October for an out-and-back paddle on beautiful Queen’s Creek. You can relax while you’re led by eco-tour guides to see Ospreys, Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, other animals and wetland plants. Be sure to mark your calendars for these upcoming third Saturdayprogram dates: July 18, August 15, September 19 and October 17.
Participants should arrive for the program at 9 a.m. and expect to launch by 9:20. The paddle will last approximately two and a half hours with take-out scheduled for noon. The program is free with your own watercraft and open to the public. New Quarter Park is located at 1000 Lakeshead Drive in York County near the Queens Lake neighborhood. Exit from the Colonial Parkway at Queens Lake.
