FALL STORIES BY THE FIRE, Oct. 23 at 5:30 pm, Join Professional Storyteller Lee Ann Rose as she tells Halloween theme stories of witches and other creatures of the night in this family-friendly program. Participants can dress up and make smore’s by the fire from 5:30 to 6 pm with Lee Ann beginning right after.

FALL PUMPKIN CARVING & TREAT TRAILS, Oct. 24 at 3:00 pm, Join New Quarter Park for an evening of fun. Children ages 5-12 will dress up to walk down one of the beautiful trails to collect candy and other fun items. Afterward, children will get to choose a pumpkin from our pumpkin patch to carve out at the park. The fee covers the trick or treats trail, a pumpkin, carving tools, and carving designs. The fee of $10 includes a pumpkin for 1st child only. The fee for the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th child is $5 each with an optional $5 fee for each additional pumpkin. Register here
Fall Wash and Talk, will be Friday, Oct. 8, Nov. 12 and Dec. 10 which is hosted by the park interpreter, Sara Lewis, from 10 am to 12 pm. Join Sara as you clean and sort artifacts, discovered right here at New Quarter Park! Registration is requested here.
DRUM CIRCLE on Sunday, Oct. 24 and Nov. 28. Virginia Master Naturalist, Madeline Vann will lead a Drum Circle for the public. Participants will meet at the multi-purpose field by the office for an hour of fun and relaxing drumming. Drumming is a great way to bring people together, reduce stress, and connect with nature. Drums and shakers will be provided on a limited basis. You are encouraged to bring your own drum or shaker, as well as a chair and/or blanket to sit on. This program meets on the fourth Sunday of every month at 6:30 p.m. FREE

Recreational activities are also available including hiking and mountain bike trails, disc golf course, playgrounds, softball field, basketball half courts, sand volleyball, and much more!
