Craft Camp: Under the Sea

Intro to Sewing for Kids: Tote Bag

Welcome to Intro to Sewing for Kids : Level 1. In this class, your child will learn their way around a sewing machine. They will learn how to thread their machine, thread the bobbin, troubleshooting when things go wrong, some tips and tricks on how to sew straight, and so much more. To put their knowledge to action, they will design and sew a tote bag.

Intro to Sewing for Kids: Elastic Skirt

Children will learn the basics of sewing and make their own elastic waist skirt. They will start by learning about different types of fabric, and how to choose the right one for their project. They will then learn how to measure themselves and cut the fabric to the right size.

Intro to Sewing for Kids: Kawaii Popsicle Plushie

Children will learn how to sew a cute and cuddly chocolate dipped kawaii popsicle plushie. Yum! They will then learn how to cut and sew the fabric together to create the body of the plushie. Next, they will learn how to add details such as eyes, a mouth, and other facial features to give their plushie a unique and playful personality. They will also learn how to stuff the plushie to make it soft and huggable.

Intro to Sewing for Kids: Zipper Pouch

Children will learn how to sew a stylish and practical zipper pouch. They will learn how to measure and cut the fabric to the right size for their pouch. Next, they will learn how to sew a zipper onto the fabric to create the opening for the pouch. They will also learn how to sew the sides and bottom of the pouch together, and how to finish the edges for a polished look.

DIY Fashion Camp

Calling all future fashion designers! Join us in this “sew” cool camp. Students ages 8-16 will learn how to design, measure, cut and sew their own fashionable garments and other fun things. This hands-on camp will build confidence and teach an important life skill, all while having fun. For each class, the student will walk away with a project they were able to sew themselves. No experience needed.

Mommy & Me Sewing Class: Throw Pillows

Join our Mommy and Me sewing class and create a beautiful throw pillow with your child! Our experienced instructor will teach basic sewing techniques, and guide you through measuring, cutting and sewing fabric. This fun bonding experience will leave you with a personalized pillow and the confidence to take on more sewing projects.
This class is for mom and 1 child. ($55 for additional child) Call if you want to add a child.
