“Tomorrow, we will mark the 22nd anniversary of the September 11 attacks that forever changed our nation.

Twenty-two years ago, soon after the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon, 40 passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93 fought heroically against their hijackers—ultimately thwarting an intended attack on the U.S. Capitol. To honor their brave fight, we invite you to visit the Flight 93 National Memorial in person or virtually.

The Memorial hosts several events where visitors can learn more about and honor the 40 passengers and crew of United Airlines Flight 93.

In just a short time, donors came together, in partnership with the National Park Foundation, to raise over $40 million to establish, design and construct the Flight 93 National Memorial. These funds helped build the park’s Memorial Plaza, Wall of Names, 40 Memorial Groves, and Field of Honor, as well as supporting reforestation campaigns that have planted more than 136,000 native tree seedlings throughout the park.

You can find out more about exhibits and park events here. Thank you for taking a moment to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice and creating a place of remembrance and reflection for today and for years to come.

Sincerely,
The Team at the National Park Foundation”
