Where to eat in Colonial Williamsburg? Which restaurants are open in the winter and what are the new offerings?
There are quite a few places to grab a bite when visiting Colonial Williamsburg or just meeting a friend for lunch. Some even have great kids menus like the King’s Arms Tavern Young Patriot Menu. It has all the kid classics. And if you are looking for that perfect latte – we always find it at The Cupboard in the Williamsburg Inn. It is a grab and go stop that never disappoints.
But this January there is some big news for dining options, dinner will be offered on Friday and Saturday nights at the Golden Horseshoe Gold Course Clubhouse Grill – this is brand new! The restaurant is open to the public and offers a casual dining experience. It’s Golden Smoke Menu showcases Virginia oak smoked BBQ including brisket, pork, chicken, and weekly specials. Their menu is absolutely mouth watering…the ones that stick in the mind are: the Whole Wings- Overnight Brined, Slow Smoked and Fried to a Crispy Perfection, Texas Style Brisket- USDA Choice Brisket, Hand Rubbed and Smoked with Freshly Ground Black Pepper and Kosher Salt, Smoked Chicken- Spice-rubbed Natural Chicken, Slow Smoked and Chopped and Pulled Pork- Pulled Spice-rubbed and Slow smoked Pork Shoulder. They also have two, three and four meat plates (that can include the items just mentioned) starting at $18. Intrigued? Find their full menu here.
