What is the Fitness Academy?
The WISC Fitness Academy offers the flexibility to attend the below fitness classes all with one package. Monthly packages offer unlimited usage for all classes. Add a WISC membership to get member pricing for the Fitness Academy and gain access to the upstairs fitness center, the aquatics center to swim laps as well as discounts on all other WISC programs.
Workout of the Day featuring constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. Programming will be broad, general, and inclusive.
This 1-hour class will feature periodized, progressive strength training for the barbell enthusiast. Weightlifting, Powerlifting, and Strongman movements.
This class will be our “CrossFit Lite” Class featuring constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. Programming will be broad, general, and inclusive. It will not involve barbells, or advanced gymnastics movements.
Aquatics Fitness Classes
Aquatics based fitness classes offer a variety of intensity and impact for all levels. Choose from EZ Aqua, Aqua Zumba, Cardio Splash and Aqua HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) to keep your body healthy and thriving.
Find your flow and integrate your mind, body and soul through the practice of yoga. A variety of class types will lead you through asanas (poses) designed to enhance balance, flexibility and strength.
HIIT 30 & HIIT 60
HIIT 30 – A 30 minute interval training class focusing on cardiovascular conditioning using the Air Assault Runner, Rogue Echo Bike, Concept 2 Ski Erg, and the Concept 2 Rower.
HIIT 60 – The second half of the HIIT 30 class focusing on strength based interval training using bodyweight exercises, dumbbells, and kettlebells.
This is a fun and challenging workout focusing on endurance, strength, core, balance, and functional movement. By changing up routines and exercises, you will see amazing transformations in your body and your attitude.
This class incorporates traditional yoga poses while balancing on a paddle board. This increases the amount of core stability needed to achieve each pose, develops balance, increases breath control, activates new muscles and is empowering, motivating, and fun
CrossFit Kids & CrossFit Teens
CrossFit Kids – (Ages 6-10) This 30 min play-based fitness class will feature a skill of the day, workout of the day, and a game.
CrossFit Teens – (Ages 11-17) This 1-hour class will feature a structured warm-up, skill work, strength movement, and workout of the day.
