Diamond Painting for Beginners • Ages 10+ NEW!

April’s gemstone is a diamond, so enjoy painting with craft “diamonds” and other jewels. Make a picture worth framing in this popular, new medium. It’s not only beautiful, but also a relaxing activity to enjoy. Instructor: Paula Harris Guerra.
It’s All About Nature! Journal, Mixed Media and Collage • Ages 16+ NEW!

Tai Chi Pathway: Four Session Beginner Workshop • Ages 14+ FREE!

Get introduced to the basic elements of Tai Chi, designed specifically for those new to the Tai Chi movement. This comprehensive program will introduce fundamental principles and movements of this mind-body practice. The practice of Tai Chi involves various postures, weight shifting and energy patterns, with an emphasis on balance, centering and brain health. Each session will focus on specific aspect of Tai Chi, building upon what you have learned to gradually deepen your understanding and practice.

Indoor cycling classes can be overwhelming to jump into – music, seat settings, resistance level and to clip or not to clip. We’re here to help! Proper bike set-up can make or break your class experience and keep you injury-free. During this intro class, we’ll teach you all you need to enter the “spin” world. Put things in full gear with our awesome tunes, control over resistance and speed, and overall intensity. No bike experience needed.
Frame Drumming Workshop • Ages 15+

This two-hour lesson is jam-packed with information, instruction, technique refinement, and lots of skill-building! It’s perfect for beginners as well as recreational drummers with an interest in deepening their drumming practice. We use frame drums, but many of the lessons can be applied and transferred to other types of drums and percussion instruments. Drums provided, but if you have a frame drum, please bring it!

Spring migration and mating season are well underway in April! Create a hand-built bluebird house that can be placed in your yard to create a habitat for a spring brood of baby Eastern Bluebirds. Supplies are available for 15 families; first-come, first-served. Join us monthly to explore the plants and animals that live within our parks! Registration not required.
Freedom Park Full Moon Hikes: Flower Moon • All Ages FREE!

Freedom Park
Come explore us AFTER DARK during the full moon! Freedom Park closes at sunset; however, Multiuse Trail 3 only reopens for this self-guided hike on select nights. After sunset, visitors may use Multiuse Trail 3 only, all other areas of the park are closed. The full moon hikes use an out-and-back one-mile, paved ADA-compliant trail winding through wooded forest and the Colby Swamp. Users must depart Multiuse Trail 3 by the closing time. No registration required. Weather permitting.

Get that neglected bicycle out of hibernation for a free once-over to get it ready for the cycling season! Representatives from local bike shops, the Williamsburg Area Bicyclists and BikeWalk Williamsburg will be on hand to offer safety inspections, adjustments, tire pumping, free helmets (while supplies last) and helmet fittings. Offered in partnership with BikeWalk Williamsburg and Williamsburg Area Bicyclists.

Get introduced to one of the nation’s fasting growing sports— pickleball! Pickleball is a paddlesport that combines badminton, tennis and table tennis and is played on smaller tennis courts. Learn the basic rules and playing fundamentals. All equipment provided.

Mondays – April 8-May 20, $15/player

Seven weeks of play in a ladder format, with teams moving up or down the ladder based on the results of the previous match. Players must sign up in teams of two with registration open for Men’s Doubles, Women’s Double and Mixed Doubles. Match schedule and times to be determined.
