On Saturdays from mid April thru October, visitors and locals come to the Riverwalk to shop at the Yorktown Market Days, enjoying local music, artisans, produce and food trucks. This outdoor seasonal weekly Market offers several special themed Market Days where the focus shifts to Fitness, Pets, Holidays and more.
Other great annual event includes the Pirates Invade Yorktown, which is a huge family friendly event that occurs in April. Landlubbers of all ages are invited to visit the Historic Yorktown waterfront to learn lessons and legends from pirates’ lives in the 17th and 18th centuries. Hands-on activities, and a treasure hunt for the kids. Explore our pirate encampment, attend pirate school, and witness a pirate trial! Sing along to sea shanties and don’t miss the exciting cannon demonstrations.
The Yorktown Sounds of Summer Concert Series starts in June and is extending this year to run all the way through the end of August! This is a FREE outdoor concert series right on the beautiful historic Yorktown Riverwalk. Summer nights have never been so fun and so “cool”.
