Toyland Parade & Yorktown Holiday Farmers Market

The Historic Yorktown waterfront transforms into a Christmas wonderland for the final Market Days event of the year. During the extended hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, children of all ages are invited to participate in this FREE fun community event!
- 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Shop the special Holiday Farmers Market for wreaths, greenery, and decorations; Christmas gift baskets; gourmet dog treats; fresh breads; chowder and soups; baked goods; jams, jellies, and syrups; seasonal produce; homemade soaps; and more!
- 10:30 a.m. Cooking demonstration from Carrot Tree Kitchens of Yorktown
- 1 – 3 p.m. Join us for children’s activities in the grassy area near the fountain. The fun includes a colonial Christmas Program from Watermen’s Museum, holiday music performed by “Heart Strings,” holiday arts and crafts for the kids, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Families can hop aboard the Riverwalk Landing Polar Express!
- 1:30 p.m. Don’t miss the Toyland Parade! Join the march through Riverwalk Landing led by Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Fifes and Drums of York Town. Decorate your strollers, wagons, pets, and kids in your most impressive holiday spirit. The SEVA GRREAT Golden group will have several dogs on site to join in the fun and raise awareness about the breed!
Free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, County Administration Building, and other designated public parking lots. The complimentary, wheelchair accessible Yorktown Trolley is available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with several convenient stops throughout town.

Join in the Toyland Parade – decorate a stroller, wagon, yourself, or even a pet and join in the 1:30 pm parade.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to greet the guests. The Fifes and Drums of York Town will lead the parade, and as an added treat, the Polar Express will be chugging along through Riverwalk Landing. All aboard! Riverwalk Landing.
