New Route for 2026!

Sign up for a scenic 5K that winds through the grounds of Colonial Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary before ending on Prince George Street. 5K runners will be led the Fife & Drum team to the starting line and then run a beautiful course through Colonial Williamsburg and William & Mary and greeted at the finish line again this year by Santa & Mrs. Claus. If you haven’t tried this run before, it’s spectacular this time of year.

Bring the kids, the stroller, the whole family, and get your holiday off to a great start, you can burn off some of those calories before Thanksgiving Dinner even happens!  

Yes, there is a Kids’ Fun Run. The Turkey Trot 5K starts at 8:45 am and a Kid’s One Mile Fun Run precedes the 5K, starting at 8:00 am.

If you register early you save so get your spots today!

The Blue Talon Turkey Trot started in 2006 in hopes of providing an opportunity for the community to come together on a great, family holiday and help support local charities.  Over the past 20 years, the race has grown and has raised the more than $450,000 for different charities!  The Blue Talon Bistro Turkey Trot has become the most notable race in the region, on the most popular running day of the year!

Sure, you’ll get a great medal for running, but your participation will also help local charities continue the vital work they do.  Stay for the Post Race Charity Raffle and AFTER PARTY!! Not a runner? Volunteer! Info is on Registration page. Online Registration has ended.

Race Location

The race starts at Illy Caffe located at 435 W Duke of Gloucester St. and ends at Blue Talon Bistro located at 420 Prince George St.

-1 Mile Fun Run: 8:00 a.m.
-5K: 8:45 a.m.

Parking is available at the parking deck on Prince George Street and legal street parking.
