Hi Bonnie,
That is terrible! If you like I can send you link to subscribe again and then it will send you a confirmation email. Once you approve the second email it should work. It is a second step we usually don’t have to do…but sometimes we do. When you open the eNewsletter in a cox email you sometimes have to click at the top where is says “show pictures” for it to load properly or you can always click the top right of the email where it says “Can’t see images – click here” and that will take you out of cox and to the email online. Hope that helped!

when we we get a REAL Arts district ????
It is frustrating isn’t it Maragaret that our sweet community doesn’t have more success with this. Why don’t you get on that band wagon :))
We just don’t really have the support we need.
I have tried and tried. How does one “get on the band wagon”?
Make the Lightfoot to toano corridor on Richmond Road an Arts/vintage/antique/flea market etc. “trail”. (the area intown so obviously failed) (the State just made a decision on downtown Toano)
There are many shops etc. already there that could be put together in a “tour” for people to visit, and make a day out of it, (whoops, sorry big business) especially since the Pottery was so badly handled. Make a brochure or handout or some form of advertising.(maybe in room TV at the hotels) The ROI is probably very high! Use the Tommy tax money for small local business also and not just large corporate business.
Many previous visitors are always asking where to go and what happened to that “attraction” (pottery) that we had and should resurrect. ORRR turn the Pottery into individual shops based on this idea.
Be happy to help.
Got other ideas here? Push the council for small business as they have given BIG business so much of our every day purchase taxes.
