Tinkergarten – Outdoor Learn and Play Class
Get ready for Tinkergarten! This a fun time to get outside! This early Summer session, children will explore the world through their senses in the most meaningful way—by experiencing it firsthand in nature. Through playful, hands-on activities, they’ll engage their “famous five” senses—sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch—while digging, splashing, listening, and discovering all that the outdoors has to offer.
Each class follows a loose structure that includes an opening circle, main activity, closing circle and snack. The main activity focuses on open-ended exploration and play where kids actively engage in imagining, exploring nature and problem solving. Adult participants learn to foster and support the children’s exploration along the way.
