Fall rowing programs typically will begin after Labor Day for all rowers; they include several regattas in the region. Summer water temperatures in the Chickahominy River historically run from 80-9- deg F and quickly start to fall into September. We will row until the 2nd week of November. By that time, the water temp could dip into the 70s and the air temperature can dip into the 50s in the evening. We cap off our Fall season by holding our own regatta , the Head of the Chick.
