Annual Watermen’s Museum Folk Festival Will Go On Sept. 26 & 27
Saturday 10 AM to 9 PM
Sunday 12 to 9 PM
This family friendly festival features musicians and dancers from all over Virginia. Free music is hosted on multiple stages. The music starts Saturday at 10 AM and again on Sunday at noon.
Daytime performances are Free and Open to the Public. $10 ticketed concerts run from 6pm-9pm both evenings raise funds for the Watermen’s Museum’s ongoing educational and community outreach programming.
Saturday performers include: Audio Portrait, Joe Kaplenk, LCV Project, Evermoor, Reg Lanning, Clan McCool, Mark Mason, Accordions Group, Jerry Sowers, Kountry Kickers, Karen Haywood Queen, Guitar Ensemble, Phil Casey, Winsom, Two If By Sea (6 p.m.), Billy Joe Daniel and Friends (7 p.m.-9 p.m.), and sea shanty singers and storytellers. Additionally, Phil Gilsone will be on site to sell his beautiful hand-crafted glassware.
Sunday performers include: Audio Portrait, Joe Kaplenk, LCV Project, Glasgow Kiss, Rose & Sword Academy of Irish Dance, Betty Sobash, Danaka, ShantyGrass, Kountry Kickers, The Burtons (6 p.m.), and Ralph Motley and Friends (7 p.m.-9 p.m.). Phil Gilson will be on site to sell his beautiful hand-crafted glassware.
Please remember to social distance and set up with space between your family and others. Chef K Cooking will be selling food. There will be craft demonstrations and other vendors on site as well. It’s outdoor fun for the whole family!
