Head to Yorktown for a PAWSITIVELY Fabulous Halloween Market! On this special day, the market fun will extend down to the green in front of the Riverwalk Landing businesses, where you’ll find informational booths and other educational opportunities, a pet portrait station, and you can purchase delicious doggy delights.

🐶 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Trick-or-treating at Historic Yorktown businesses for children.
  • Animal rescue and pet organizations will be available to answer questions and hand out information.
  • “Guess the Pet” Game – Think you know your household pet? Find the signs and study the close-up images. Guess the type of pet—then scan the QR code to see if you’re right!
  • Children’s Craft – Decorate a bandana for your dog!
  • Meet K9 Ghost of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office!

🐶 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

  • Pet portraits behind the Freight Shed. Your pet(s) will automatically be entered into a pet costume competition on Visit Yorktown’s Facebook page. The pet with the most likes by noon on Friday, October 31, will win a prize!

🐶 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Phil Poteat will perform acoustical guitar at the Riverwalk Landing Stage.

🐶 11 a.m.

  • Dog Treat Demonstration with Gangsta Dog

  • Check out the costumed pooches in the annual Pet Parade!

Yorktown Market Days’ annual Paws at the River Market is designed to bring awareness to animal rescue organizations and help place adoptable pets in their “furever” homes.

Shop for seasonal produce; fresh baked goods; meats; fresh-cut flowers; handmade soaps and candles; honey; and a beautiful display of work from local artists and artisans.

Make sure the kids come ready to Trick or Treat!!! The popular town-wide trick-or-treating event returns this year with several participating businesses participating. . A trick-or-treat map will be posted on both the Visit Yorktown and Yorktown Market Days Facebook pages along with several signs displayed throughout town that day.
