“Virginians will dance or die,” wrote an 18th-century diarist; this lively program brings that spirit to life. Guests can step into one of colonial Virginia’s favorite pastimes as they learn the steps and figures of 18th-century dances, from country dances to the elegant minuet, and see how these patterns blended into countless variations.
