This special event features poet and author Kyle Carrero Lopez (W&M ’17). Kyle is the author of PARTY LINE, releasing this July with Graywolf Press, a fellow of Cave Canem, and an editor for The Poetry Project’s quarterly publication, the Newsletter. His poetry and prose have appeared in The Yale Review, New York Magazine, The Nation, POETRY, and The New Republic, among many others. He has also served as a reader and judge for major literary prizes, including the Derricotte/Eady Chapbook Prize and the F(r)iction Spring Writing Contest.
In addition to the reading, Kyle will lead an Industry Summit workshop titled Literary Journal and Magazine Submissions: The Ins & Outs, offering practical insight into navigating the publishing world. Presented in partnership with the W&M Hayes Writers Series.
