Farewell to the Butterflies…Until Next Season
Celebrate the final weekend of Butterfly Haven with a day full hands-on discovery. Say goodbye to the seasonal exhibit and explore the incredible life cycle of butterflies through up-close encounters, family-friendly crafts, and educational activities.
Activities:
- Animal Shows: Discover the ways animals adapt and survive (11:30 AM & 1:00 PM)
- Butterfly Collections: Examine real specimens and learn about the diverse body parts and life stages of butterflies.
- Butterfly Bookmarks: Use stamps to design your own butterfly to take home.
- Make Your Own Butterfly: Create a fluttering monarch using clothespins in this creative hands-on craft.
- Meet Local Experts: Chat with butterfly conservationists to learn how you can support pollinators at home.
If any butterflies are ready, guests may have the opportunity to observe or assist in their release alongside museum staff.
