Directors Needed for Community Land Trust. Staff will hold an information session on the JCC-CLT. JCC is establishing the James City County Community Land Trust (JCC-CLT) and need applicants to serve on its inaugural Board of Directors.
A Community Land Trust (CLT) is a non-profit organization that acquires and stewards land for the benefit of the community. Using a long-term, renewable and inheritable ground lease (typically 99 years), the CLT ensures that homes remain affordable for current and future generations.
The JCC-CLT’s mission is to provide decent, quality housing that is affordable primarily to low- and moderate-income households in James City County (those earning 80% or less of the area median income). The JCC-CLT may also serve households with incomes up to 120% of the area median income.
Applications are due by April 20.
