Corn Husk Dolls

Join a ranger at Chippokes State Park and make your own corn husk doll. Learn about the unique history of these dolls which originates in Indigenous culture.
Children have always been masters of making use of idle hands, free time, and their imagination in an effort to keep entertained or have fun, and the corn husk doll is an enduring testament to that. Corn husk dolls were a creative outlet for play made from by products essential to survival.
