April 25: Colony Dance Band “Jazz Legends Showcase”: Williamsburg’s own big band presents a “Jazz Legends Showcase.” Join the Ford’s Colony Dance Band as we pay tribute to some of the greatest artists and iconic songs of the Jazz era. From Ragtime to Swing to BeBop. From Count Basie to Chick Corea, Louis Armstrong to Maynard Ferguson, From Duke and Ella to Coltrane! If you’re into jazz, you’ll love this show! May 23: York River Concert Band:

This ensemble was formed over 30 years ago by members of the former Newport News Shipbuilding Band. It has been active in the Tidewater area since then, performing at various venues including commencement ceremonies, churches, retirement establishments, and other community events. The York River Concert Band, a non-profit organization, is made up of local community members of all ages and walks of life. Free admission; no tickets required, but donations accepted.
