For five decades, San Francisco’s Kronos String Quartet–David Harrington (violin), Gabriela Díaz (violin), Ayane Kozasa (viola), and Paul Wiancko (cello)–has been redefining what a string quartet can be. Founded at a time when the form was rooted in traditional Western European styles, Kronos has continually expanded its boundaries, turning the string quartet into a living, evolving art form that speaks to the people and issues of today. This performance will be held in the Concert Hall of the Music Arts Center at William & Mary, located directly next to PBK Memorial Hall.
