Cue the violins and take in the waterfront views! Guests are invited to enjoy a magical evening under the stars as the Virginia Symphony Orchestra fills the Yorktown air with unforgettable music.
Concertgoers are encouraged to pack a picnic, bring a cozy blanket, and settle in for a night of inspired performances. The Fifes and Drums of York Town will open the evening at 6 p.m., setting a patriotic tone ahead of the main concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m.
This free concert is presented by the Celebrate Yorktown Committee of the Yorktown Foundation, with generous support from York County, the York County Arts Commission, and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, along with contributions from local organizations, businesses, and individuals. The volunteer-led Celebrate Yorktown Committee works year-round to raise the funds that make this special evening possible.
As this popular event draws a large crowd, visitors are encouraged to arrive early and plan ahead. Parking is available in the two-level Water Street Parking Terrace, with handicapped parking on the lower level. Additional parking can be found at York Hall, the County Administration Building, the York County Courts & Office Complex, and other designated public lots throughout town. For this evening only, parking will also be available at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown beginning at 5 p.m.
