Enjoy a 2 mile walk through the wonderful Holiday Lights on this special, “One Night Only Event” – Walking through the Holiday Lights at the Celebration in Lights in Newport News City Park with over 1 million Lights. Holiday Light Stroll presented by Langley Federal Credit Union is a charity event to benefit the Center for Child & Family Services. The Center’s mission is to empower people to face life’s challenges through counseling and support services.
There are two time slots this year, Slot 1 Tickets will be 5:00pm to 7:00pm and a limited number of tickets for the time slot of 7:30pm to 8:30pm. You must be in line by 6:50p for slot 1 and 8:20pm for Slot 2 to ensure you are to participate in the event.
Tickets are on sale now! We will be using a ticketless event this year. Tickets will be electronic and sent to your email / Eventbrite account. Tickets will be scanned at the event for entry. Tickets are sold as single tickets, but we do offer a discounted 4 pack of tickets (if you are buying a 4 packet of tickets, everyone must together when ticket is scanned), Children 2 and under are free. Just click on the Ticket Link to order tickets. Once you order your tickets, they will be electronically sent to you by Eventbrite. Reminder, this event has sold out in advance the last four years.
We are unable to exchange time slots once your ticket is purchased. Please carefully select the ticket time slot that works best for you and your guests.
The Holiday Light Stroll presented by Langley Federal Credit Union is a charity walk ‘one night only’ through the world famous Newport News Celebration in Lights. It is an event to benefit the programs and services of the Center for Child & Family Services, a local non profit family services organization. The walk has been happening for over 20 years and since 2014 the Center for Child & Family Services has been organizing the Holiday Light Stroll with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Center’s programs and services. The Center for Child & Family Services has been serving children and families on the Peninsula & surrounding communities since 1943. We are a 501 c 3 non profit organization and we are celebrating over 76+ years of service to the community.
All proceeds from the Center’s Holiday Light Stroll goes to support our 20+ plus programs that we offer to the community including; domestic violence prevention, youth anger management and gang prevention services, support services to youth aging out of foster care, job readiness services for youth and adults, to those with barriers to employment, mental health counseling, supervised visitation services, consumer credit counseling services to include debt management, financial education, housing and money management counseling and childcare training and support services just to name a few.
We have offices in Hampton and Williamsburg that serves all of the Virginia Peninsula and surrounding communities. Your purchase of tickets will allow the Center to empower people to face life’s challenges. 100% of all proceeds benefit the Center for Child & Family Service
