Busch Gardens is Going Cashless, and so is Water Country USA

Busch Gardens is going cashless, and so is Water Country USA

You heard it correct. No more cash transactions. As of May 11, 2023 at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and May 13, 2023 at Water Country USA, both parks will be transitioning to cashless operations at their restaurants, retail stores, games, ticket windows, and parking toll plazas.

So what happens if you only brought cash? They have Cash-to-Card kiosks located throughout both parks that will transfer your cash onto a Visa prepaid debit card that can be used anywhere Visa is accepted (free of charges). Now if you don’t use the debit card for 92 consecutive days the card issuer will charge $3.95 per month. You can load up to $500 on these cards with no minimum but keep in mind that they are not reloadable. You will have load additional cash onto a new card – free of charge.

Why type of payments will they accept at Busch Gardens and Water Country USA? Customers can use American Express, Discover, Mastercard, and Visa credit cards and most debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay and the Cash-to-Cards that you can get in the parks.
