Want to do something different for mom this Mother’s Day? Treat mom to a day on the water and fossil hunting at York River State Park. This is a fun afternoon out on the York River in either canoes or kayaks. Bring water, bug spray and a snack (protein bars are perfect) and get ready to start a family tradition.
This ranger guided program takes guests to Fossil beach to search for relics of the prehistoric era.
Reservations and rental fees are to be paid in advance. Mom paddles free with a paying paddler. Canoes $9/person or $6/person (family of 4+), solo kayak $16/person, tandem kayak $11/person.
