Free Paddlecraft Rentals (Longest Day of Play)

Paddlecraft Rentals | All Ages*

Note there are three locations

• Chickahominy Riverfront Park, 1350 John Tyler Highway – 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
• James City County Marina, 2054 Jamestown Road – 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Jamestown Beach Event Park, 2205 Jamestown Road – Noon-5:30 p.m.

Enjoy free paddlecraft rentals at three of our waterfront parks. Available rentals include single and tandem kayaks, standup paddleboards (excluding Chickahominy Riverfront Park) and canoes. Paddlecraft are available first come, first served, during normal operating hours and include life jackets.  Photo Identification is required for all rentals. 

Note: Rentals are limited to two hours.

* Renters must be ages 18 or older or have a guardian ages 18 or older sign the waiver. Children ages 15 and younger must be accompanied by a guardian age 18 or older. Children ages 5-12 are permitted only on tandem kayak and canoe with a guardian age 18 or older.
