At Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series, warm sunsets, live music, and laid-back waterfront vibes set the tone for a perfect evening.

The Gentlemen & Their Lady is a nine-piece band from Washington, D.C., known for their high-energy performances and feel-good vibe. This versatile, fun-loving group knows how to get guests moving, drawing everyone to the dance floor with a genre-spanning mix of music. With fresh takes on contemporary hits and timeless crowd favorites–from soulful ballads to upbeat party anthems–their setlist blends styles and eras into a fun, engaging experience that keeps the energy high and the good times rolling.

Every Thursday night, the York River comes alive with a new sound—from country and beach music to jazz, R&B, and more. Bring a lawn chair or blanket, slip off your shoes, and enjoy the breeze while food trucks serve up tasty bites and summer rhythms fill the air.

Arrive early to enjoy dinner or dessert from nearby waterfront favorites like Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree, or Ben & Jerry’s, then relax and settle in for a night of great music, good company, and memories made under the stars.

Guests are welcome to bring blankets, chairs, and small coolers. Tables, umbrellas, and tents are not permitted. A dance floor, friendly corn hole games, and rotating food trucks with to-go meals will be available.

Free parking is offered at designated public lots throughout town, including York Hall, York–Poquoson Courthouse, and the County Administration Building. The complimentary, ADA-accessible Yorktown Trolley runs from 5 to 9:30 p.m. during each concert, with a modified route that includes select stops on the outskirts of town.
