York River State Park is Offering a Winter Discoveries Program in February

We love York River State Park! The amazing views, walking trails, biking trails, and then list goes on. We are very excited they have opened a special Discovery Room in the Visitor Center.

They have two new aquariums of fresh and saltwater fish, a reptile enclosure, and microscopes.  A large monitor with videos about fish, waterfowl, and even the lost lighthouses of the York River.

On Fridays in January, they will host Winter Discoveries programs from 1:00 to 2:00 pm for experiences beyond a classroom. Rangers and naturalist will share insights to help you discover unique things about our ecosystem.

Topics for February:
February 6th – African American Watermen
February 13th – Bald Eagles
February 20th – Waterfowl
February 27th – Oyster Reef

Explore the displays of the Visitor Center and Discovery Room as well as miles of trails this winter. Call 757-566-8523 for more information.
