Hospice Support Care offers a new program, Suicide Support Group. Suicide is sudden and unexpected and may leave unfinished, unresolved issues. This group offers a confidential setting in which to explore feelings and find comfort in not being alone on a grief journey. Goals include: permission to grieve; stay connected with supportive people; learning acceptance with grace/truth/time; easing back into reality; and sharing experiences and helping others on the recovery road.
The group meets on the 1st Thursday of each month at 7 pm at Hospice House and Support Care. Anyone struggling with the loss of a loved one from suicide is welcome.
Information and referral to individual and family counseling and other support groups is also available.
