FIFTH ANNUAL BUTTERFLY FESTIVAL IN THE WILLIAMSBURG BOTANICAL GARDEN
August 3 & 4, 2019
9 am – 4 pm
Bring the whole family to experience the Williamsburg Botanical Garden’s 5th Annual Butterfly Festival at the Williamsburg Botanical Gardens at Freedom Park on August 3th and 4th, from 9:00-5:00 each day.
This festival has several parts, but the main and most exciting focus will be two butterfly tents with hundreds of butterflies enjoying those hot August days. These tents and butterflies will offer a wonderful opportunity for both children and adults to see hundreds of native butterflies close up. To educate and entertain the whole family, there will also be children’s crafts and educational programs for all ages of butterfly enthusiasts throughout the two days. Speakers’ topics will include raising Monarchs, butterflies and plants they need, and other interesting topics.
Funding for this program has been made possible through the generous support of the Green Spring Garden Club Inc. Admission is free but a $5 donation to the Williamsburg Botanical Garden at Freedom Park to help the garden grow would be appreciated.
Please come join in the fun as the Williamsburg Botanical Garden celebrates summer and this area’s beautiful native butterflies.
Williamsburg Botanical Gardens is located in Freedom Park – 5537 Centerville Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23188
Butterfly Festival Needs Volunteers
Anyone can volunteer – and children above the age of 12 (accompanied by an adult) can be volunteers too. We can quickly train you to help either in the tents with the butterflies or in the crafts area.
To volunteer, go to Sign Up Genius at www.bit.ly/wbgbfly19vol. If you have any trouble using the signup form, please email Judy Jones at email@example.com and she’ll register you at this end. And many, many thanks for helping us make this festival a success!
