May 19: “A Month by the Lake” (1995) While vacationing in Italy in the 1930s, two women (Vanessa Redgrave, Uma Thurman) vie for the attention of a wealthy veteran of the first World War. This romantic charmer was directed by John Irvin and filmed at lovely Lake Como, Italy. 1 hr., 32 min. (PG)
May 26: “The Wrecking Crew” (2015) This classic music documentary profiles the mostly anonymous L.A. studio musicians who helped create Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound and redefine California pop with Brian Wilson.
