“Virginians will dance or die,” wrote an 18th-century diarist. Prepare to experience one of the favorite pastimes of Colonial Virginians. Join the Colonial Williamsburg Dance Ensemble as they discuss various 18th-century dances, from country dances to minuets, and how dancing fit into the social life of Virginians. Watch as the ensemble demonstrates their favorite dances, and then join them on the dance floor to participate in the fun. All ages are welcome for this ticketed event
