VCE Family Focus Playgroups for ages up to 5 years – March & April

Family Focus is an organization that provides support and strengthens families and promotes the well being of children through community-based and culturally sensitive prevention services.

Family Focus provides an array of services to families which includes parent education classes, support groups for parents and caregivers, home visits, teen parent support within the schools, preschool programs and parent-child interactive learning groups.

Enrollment is required for all VCE, FCS Family Focus playgroups – Space is limited.  To enroll for call (757) 564-2173 and leave a message. The fee per playgroup is $5.00. Cash or Checks payable to VCE-JCC (There is a $50 return check fee.) Scholarships are available upon request.

The VCE, FCS Family Focus Center in York County will be offering the following programs for parents and/or caregivers and their children at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 118 Old York-Highway, Yorktown.

Infant/Toddler (All ages to 5 years old) Playgroup – Monday, March 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30, April 13, 20 & 27 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. 

Infant/Toddler (All ages to 5 years old) Playgroup – Tuesday, March 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31, April 14, 21 & 28 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

The VCE, FCS Family Focus Center in James City County will be offering the following programs for parents and/or caregivers and their children at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 7479 Richmond Road, Williamsburg, VA 231188.

Infant/Toddler (All ages to 5 years old) Playgroup – Thursday, March 5, 12, 19 & 26, April 2, 16, 23 & 30 from 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Al’s Pals Preschool Program (Ages 3-5) – September 29, 2026 through May 27, 2027 – Al’s Pals is a comprehensive, age-appropriate curriculum that uses puppetry, play and son to teach children how to express feelings, gain self-control, accept differences, solve problems peacefully and keep themselves safe & healthy.

Meet twice a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) from 1:30 pm – 3 pm. Unlike playgroup it is a drop-off program for 3-5 year old’s. $50 per month. Class is limited to 10 children. Enrollment is required, call 757-564-2173.
