Applications are available on the website at www.williamsburgfarmersmarket.com or at the main tent at the Farmers Market, which begins regular Saturday operations from 8 a. m. until noon April 3 in the parking lot at 401 West Francis Street, on the corner of Francis and Boundary Streets adjacent to Merchants Square.

Applications are due to the Farmers Market office at 202 Quarterpath Road in Williamsburg by May 15, 2021. Winners will be notified no later than July 1, 2021. The scholarships are not limited to courses in agriculture, but application requests must have some relevance to farming or the Williamsburg Farmers Market.

The possibilities are limited by the cases made by the applicants and the discretion of the board. The Williamsburg Farmers Market is a non-profit 501 (C) (6) organization with the mission to sustain, foster and operate a weekly farmers market in Merchants Square for growers and producers to sell fresh seasonal food and farm products direct to consumers in the Williamsburg area. The market is governed by a board of directors comprised of representatives from the community and a vendor representative. The market operates with the generous support of its founding sponsors, the City of Williamsburg, the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and Merchants Square; and additional sponsors including Colonial Farm Credit, Farm Bureau, Founders Village Apartments, Howell Creative Group, Riverside Doctors’ Hospital, TowneBank and revenue generated from market sales.
