February 24 – STEAM Saturdays – Join us for family fun with a focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Held once a month at the James City County Library, each event will feature a program for kids along with hands on activities and crafts.

ZooPro Animal Adventures — 1 p.m.
Meet exotic -– and not so exotic -–mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and insects up close and personal with ZooPro Animal Adventures. Learn about their habitats and how theyinteract with humans at home and around the world.
Larsen’s Amazing World of Reptiles — 3 p.m.
Reptile experts Scott and Kim Larsen share stories, interesting facts, and trivia questions about their dazzling array of lizards, frogs, turtles, and snakes, then invite you to meet the reptiles up close and personal! Caution: holding, petting, and greeting eye-to-eye may occur.

February 19 – Hula Hoop Party – Are you a hula hoop hotshot? Youngsters 6 and up are invited to our Hula Hoop Extravaganza on Presidents’ Day. Don’t miss this chance to dance, hula, and even tackle our hula hoop obstacle course. Registration is required. 11 a.m., JCCL
February 20 – Fun for Fours & Five – This great weekly class series for 4 and 5-year-olds features everything from music to yoga to STEM. Space is limited; call Williamsburg Regional Library at 757.259.4055 to inquire about openings for this month and next. 1:00pm, WL
February 24 – Preschool Dance Party – What do you get when you add balloons and bubbles to music? A fantastic preschool dance party! Put on your dancing shoes and join us for an exciting hour of songs, movement, and rhymes. 11 a.m., JCCL
Mark your Calendar for March 2 – Sphero Class (Ages 8-11) Learn to code with Sphero Robots. These cool app-enabled orbs foster creativity through play and lay the foundation for computer science at the same time. Different input methods allow kids with multiple skill levels of programming to participate. Registration is required and will begin on February 11. Mark your Calendar for March 9 – Astronomy for Everyone: Size & Scale Astronomer Kevin Manning presents an exciting 90-minute family program for ages 8 to 100 about the universe from the very small to the very large. Following this indoor presentation, participants will go outdoors to view celestial objects in the night sky through a powerful hand-crafted telescope. You may see the ice crystal rings of Saturn, craters on the Moon, and more! 5:30 p.m. JCCL

March 1 – Jamestown High School Theatre presents “Immersed” – 7 – 8 pm Williamsburg Library Theatre -JHS will be performing a preview of the one-act play they will be taking to the 2018 South Eastern Theatre Conference.
March 14 – Careers in Chemistry – 6 p.m. CSI lab, 7 p.m. panel Stryker Building, Room 128 Join us to solve a mystery “CSI” style using chemistry at 6 p.m. followed by a panel of chemists at 7 p.m. to talk about careers in chemistry. Guests include chemists from law enforcement, manufacturing, and academia. Teens 13-18 must register for the lab at 259.4050; all welcome to panel.
March 20 – Anime Film & Craft: Princess Mononoke (PG-13) 4-7 p.m., Williamsburg Library – Join us at 4 p.m. to create a kodama in polymer clay, and watch the film in which they appear. For ages 12-18.
