June 23: Mr. Nobody Against Putin (2025) In this year’s Oscar winner for Best Documentary, a Russian teacher witnesses and secretly records the militarization of his small-town primary school during the Ukraine invasion. 1 hr., 30 min. (NR)

June 30: Sight (2023) When a brilliant eye surgeon is called on to help a child blinded by an abusive parent, it reawakens traumatic memories of his childhood during the Cultural Revolution in China. July 21: Into the Amazon (2018) An expedition into the South American rainforest becomes a test of courage in this American Experience documentary, relating the harrowing 1914 journey taken by Theodore Roosevelt and Brazilian explorer Cândido Rondon to chart an unexplored tributary of the Amazon. 1 hr., 53 min. July 28: Róise & Frank (2022) In this charming Irish film, an unusually persistent stray dog shows up at the doorstep of a grieving widow who comes to believe that it may be her reincarnated husband.
