Evening Campfire: Skulls, Jaws, and Furs

Chippokes State Park

Can you identify the differences between a mammalian predator or prey animal’s skull? How have animal skulls adapted to help with survival? What else can we find out from closely investigating fur pelts, jaw bones, and skulls? Gather round a campfire to get those questions answered.

We will work together to uncover skull adaptations and identify their species. But the fun doesn’t end there! The Ranger will have a variety of items for you to see, touch, and learn more about.

Meet at the Interpretive Amphitheater north of the Farm & Forestry Museum parking lot. More Info
