Jenny Hagel Gives Advice
March 21 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Comedian Jenny Hagel brings her hilarious interactive show to the stage where she combines two of her favorite things: comedy and telling people what to do.
Audience members submit questions about their relationships, careers, and families, and Jenny, along with a special guest, offers their very best (and very unprofessional) life advice. At the end of the night, a real therapist joins them on stage to decide whether the advice was helpful…or if everyone should completely ignore it.
It’s a wildly funny, interactive show where a brilliant comedian might fix—or totally ruin—a bunch of strangers’ lives.
Jenny Hagel (W&M ’98) is an Emmy-nominated writer and performer on Late Night with Seth Meyers, where she created the popular segment Jokes Seth Can’t Tell. She also served as Head Writer and Executive Producer of The Amber Ruffin Show and has been nominated for two GLAAD Awards for her work addressing LGBTQ issues on television. Her debut essay collection, Advice No One Asked For, is available for pre-sale now.
Jenny will also lead an Industry Summit workshop: Comedy Writing Q&A, offering insight for aspiring comedy writers.
This event is part of the AIA Festival and is presented in partnership with Arts at William & Mary. This event requires prepaid tickets. For more information, see here.
