In time for the holiday season, the museum shops at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown join museum stores worldwide on Sunday, November 30, 2025 for Museum Store Sunday.
Museum Store Sunday
On the Sunday following Thanksgiving, over 2,200 museum stores representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 25 countries, and five continents will offer inspired shopping at your favorite museums and cultural institutions. Museum Store Sunday is a special shopping experience in one-of-a-kind stores, showcasing broad assortments of highly curated, unique and mission-related gifts.
Museum stores have distinctive products made, designed and provided by local artisans, designers, publishers and other small businesses. This purposeful practice not only offers locally sourced items to museum visitors and store customers but also helps to support and sustain local businesses and the community.
They are open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s days. Local residents of City of Williamsburg, James City County, York County and William & Mary students always receive free admission to shop, sip a hot drink at the café and explore the museum galleries and exhibitions. Just show your ID. Skip the crowds, bring a friend and make a day of it. We have plenty of free parking too. Learn more about complimentary admission for local residents.
