The America 250 Celebration continues with a special reading of the Declaration of Independence.
To commemorate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, and its first public reading on July 8, 1776, Yorktown & Co is hosting an event to participate in the “Sharing the Spirit of America” — a simultaneous reading of the Declaration of Independence across the World. Reading locations include all 50 States, each of the 5 US Territories, US Outlying Islands Washington DC, Antarctica, Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, Brazil, New Zealand, Australia, Morocco, South Korea, Thailand, England, France, Austria, Italy, and Sweden.
A life-size Declaration of Independence will be on display and open for adding your own signature. Patrons are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. The event is free and open to the public. More Info
