On Friday mornings, bring your young artist and meet us in the galleries for a read-aloud story hour and activity! Join us to read books themed around the galleries, artists, artmaking and museums, then create art inspired by each day’s picture book selection.
Friday, August 7, 2026 pick is “A Drop Around the World” by Barbara Shaw McKinney. Following the story, we will make watercolor water cycle paintings.
Friday, August 14, 2026 pick is “A Bad Case of Stripes” by David Shannon. Following the story, we will make patterned self-portraits.
Recommended for pre-K children. Parents must accompany their children at all times. More Info
