Discover the challenges and hardships of America’s fight for independence through this interactive military program. Recruits of all ages are invited to join the 7th Virginia Regiment, alongside the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes & Drums, for a hands-on military drill that offers a glimpse into the lives of soldiers preparing for war. Both active participants and observers are welcome, with final inspection of the recruits conducted by Patrick Henry.
Attendees are encouraged to travel light by leaving large bags at home or in their hotel. Please note that bag checks may be implemented at Colonial Williamsburg venues at any time, and additional security measures may be in place at individual locations. Larger bags, including duffel bags, shoulder bags, and backpacks, may be subject to inspection before entry. Luggage or large cases of any kind are not permitted.
