📍Raleigh Tavern
Step into Williamsburg’s vibrant musical past in the years leading up to the Revolution, when the city’s cultural life flourished with lively ballad opera performances and newly imported European music for citizens to enjoy. On November 13, 1771, a public concert filled the Apollo Room of the Raleigh Tavern with song, featuring performers Nancy Hallam, Maria Storer, and Stephen Woolls.
Join the Governor’s Musick ensemble as they bring this historic concert back to life, reimagining the sounds and musical moments that shaped Williamsburg in the 1770s. Guests will even have the chance to take part in the fun by singing along to some of the era’s most beloved tunes. An event ticket is required.Â
